I can't say enough wonderful things about Merylin & how amazing our special wedding day was. From beginning to end she went above and beyond to make sure both my husband James and I were happy & comfortable with every vendor, venue & service.

We married July 17, 2016 at the Antiguo Casino in Old San Juan, the venue was everything I wanted...a true fairytale brought to life.

We had the most gorgeous flowers, decor & food for our guests. If you are planning on marrying in Puerto Rico I would highly reccomend using Merylin. We had such a Beautiful wedding we are coming back to celebrate our 1 year anniversary!! Thank you again for making our fairytale wedding come to life.... James & Carissa Anderson

Working individually with each couple to assure they have a custom wedding cake that is personalized and special just for them is one of our main focuses. Having a great team of vendors to make it happen... is a blessing.

RSVP to the Wedding

This is a good idea! 
You know your people, and you know a few of them will assume you know they are going to your wedding and don't even care to RSVP, maybe they forgot or maybe they don't even know if they could make it and get there last minute without notifying. I have seen it all, believe me. 
Would you consider to have an extra table for those "Wedding Crashers"? 😄

Bridesmaids accessories

Talk about an alternative idea for the Bridesmaids "Bouquet". Pineapples' Bouquet is what happened here when the fun and non-traditional Bride wanted to make a statement and be different. 
.
Our Bride, Hallie, gave a Pineapples to each one of her Bridesmaids, instead of a flower Bouquet. The smell was divine and they made a statement by being different. After the Wedding Ceremony, we placed the Pineapples on the Presidential table at the Wedding Reception to complement the décor.

Wedding Favors

Wedding Favor! 
If you ask me what I recommend as a Wedding Favor for your guests, I will tell you to consider an edible favor. Believe me, people enjoy it a lot. 
This beauty on the pictures is a mini-cake that one of my vendors do. They put it in a beautiful gift box with a bow, and we place it, either at everyone's place setting or on a table at the exit of the reception so they will grab theirs at the end of the event.

Wedding Venue

One of the biggest decisions you’ll make as an engaged couple, is choosing your wedding venue. 
A good proportion of your budget and time will go to find your dream venue. 
First, decide on the type of wedding you want. Then, set a budget with careful consideration as to how much you can afford for your dream venue. 
There is really something out there to suit every kind of couple, it’s just a matter of making your own decision based on your budget and vision. 
When you both go on to venue hunting, never visit more than three wedding venues in one day. It's definitely so overwhelming. Trust me!!!

Once you've decided on your venue, the rest of your planning should fall right into place.

Cake Tasting

What could happen at a Cake Tasting?  

One of the most difficult tasks the couple will be confronting during the wedding planning process, it's the Cake Tasting. "Why difficult?", you ask. Well, whenever I'm accompanying my clients at a cake tasting, choosing the flavor(s) becomes a challenge for them. "These are all so delicious.", they say. 
I mean this in a fun way. They truly enjoy it, although the hustle on choosing the flavor(s), it's real. 😁 
And that is what really happens at a Cake Tasting. 😉 
I always suggest that only the couple go to this tasting. Chances are, if the couple invite a friend/family, it could become a bit difficult. You can get more confused if you all clash on picking a flavor. 
Keep it simple... Just the two of you. Enjoy! 🍰

Wedding Budget

Lets talk about the Wedding Budget. 
Start by making a checklist of the "Must Have" and the "Nice to Have", one being the most important and the other one being the least. 
The budget is all about balance and priorities. 
For starters, take a good look and super-duper evaluate your guests' list. The more guests you have, the more food, liquor and decor you have to have. Your guests will always remember and talk about - the music and the food. So, the quality of these two should be a great priority. 
But most importantly, do what feels right for you both, not what people should expect. It's all about the overall experience that they will have, and the love and gratitude that you both will reflect on that special day towards them.
