Table setting tip:
Create a beautiful place setting that are both functional and complimentary to the entire wedding decoration.
Remember, your guests will spend a good amount of time at the wedding reception table mingling, eating, listening to speeches and watching the Newlyweds' first dance.

Down the aisle song

Down the aisle song

You know you can upgrade your "Walking down the aisle song", right?

More and more Brides are skipping the traditional, "Here comes the Bride" song, and choosing a song that they truly enjoy and love. Choosing this particular song for you to walk down the aisle, can be tricky. You want to be original, you want to keep the moment beautiful and romantic, but most important, you want it to be meaningful. This song in particular could be one that you both pick because it means something for you both, or, it could be a surprise song with beautiful lyrics that you are dedicating to him as you walk down the aisle.

At a destination wedding I had here in my island, Puerto Rico, one Bride danced down the beach aisle to Maroon 5's "Moves like Jagger". To this day, that is by far one of the most memorable, fun and super cool Bride's entrance I have ever experienced. No one expected it, so you can imagine everyone reaction... yeap, they started jumping, dancing and singing as she walked. What a cheerful moment that was!

If you dream on having live musicians, let them know in advanced which song you want them to play for you. They can, of course, rehearse in advanced any song of your choice, from a classical to one on the top 20 charts. Just make sure they know at least two weeks prior so they can guarantee they will play the song for you.

If you want out of the traditional songs, go ahead, show some unique personality in your ceremony with an unexpected soundtrack. Believe me when I say, I have even seen a Bride walk down the aisle to Guns n' Roses' "Sweet Child O Mine" played by Violinists... it was AMAZINGGG!!!

Wedding Ceremony Rehearsal

Wedding Ceremony Rehearsal

Wedding Ceremony Rehearsal

This, for me, is very important and I always encourage my clients to schedule it with the entire Bridal Party, including everyone that will walk down the aisle, and also, the ones that will have part with a reading and/or escorting a family member. I suggest this takes place one to two days prior to the wedding day. It usually takes approximately 35 to 45 minutes. Your Wedding Planner should be there, of course, to guide you all through the steps.

The rehearsal is the perfect time to familiarize with what you'll all be doing, as well as to help you all get more comfortable in your spot. It will also show the parents/grandparents where exactly they will be sitting, and where they should go when they're done walking down the aisle. Always consider and schedule with your Wedding Planner a Wedding Ceremony Rehearsal, so your entire Bridal Party will feel comfortable on the day of the Wedding. They will appreciate it!
