"As a Wedding Planner, what is the best advise you can give to couples?"

My answer will always be: 
Enjoy the day of the Wedding to the FULLEST because everything goes by sooooo fast. Be fully mindful/present during the ceremony to take it all in: every word from your Officiant, the wedding vows, your guests' presence and your partner's emotions.

It's such a sentimental, romantic and joyful day next to your life partner, family and friends, that it's so worth to focus completely on enjoying it, being thankful and appreciative of it, so you can treasure it for an eternity.

The First Look

Are you doing the "First Look" or are you both sticking with the tradition to meet for the first time at the alter? 

Whatever the decision is, you both have to agree on it. More and more couples are putting aside the traditions, and are opting to do a first look because this gives them more time to do more portraits together, rather than rushing during the cocktail hour. Usually, couples that take time to do photos prior to the ceremony, will find time to join in with their guests at the Cocktail hour.

Your wedding food caterer will share with you their menu so you both can pick and choose your favorites and create something delicious. 
Is super important to take in consideration your guests' food restrictions and allergies, as well. 
Guests always remember two things about Weddings, and that is the food and the music.

Groom's Squad

The Groom's Squad is lined-up. 

Groomsmen may be a great helping hands for the Bride and Groom before and during the Wedding. Simple gestures on their end can be a relief. 
The couple will appreciate having their willingness to be involved somehow. They won’t be call up for every task, but they should be willing to say “YES” when the couple asks for support. 
The Open Bar will be their reward, right?

Bride's Squad

Did you arrange your Bride's Squad?

Now, what about those great ladies from your family or group of friends that didn't make the cut to be a Bridesmaid?

If you don’t want to offend a friend or family member by not asking them to be your Bridesmaid, there are other ways to get them involved in your wedding. 
You can ask them to be Ushers, to be a Witness or to do a reading at the wedding ceremony. They will feel just as important and special with a responsibility like this as they would being a Bridesmaid.
