Bridal Bouquet

Bridal Bouquet

In case you didn't know, cascading bouquets are having a bit of a moment right now.

They have a long history going back to 1910, but taking its peak in the 20s and 30s.

This type of bouquet is so whimsy and full of personality with its natural/organic look.

They are gorgeous and for sure make a statement.

"Getting ready" outfits for Bridesmaids

"Getting ready" outfits for Bridesmaids

For the Bride, there's nothing more fun and meaningful than having her girlfriends by her side, getting pampered, sipping mimosas and sharing fun stories.
Moments like this will be captured by your photographer, so why not buy your Bridesmaids some beautiful robes, right?
Show them your love and appreciation with some matching gifts everyone can wear while getting ready on your wedding day.

Wedding Budget

Wedding Budget

Lets talk about the Wedding Budget.
Start by making a checklist of the "Must Have" and the "Nice to Have", one being the most important and the other one being the least.
The budget is all about balance and priorities.
For starters, take a good look and super-duper evaluate your guests' list. The more guests you have, the more food, liquor and decor you have to have. Your guests will always remember and talk about - the music and the food. So, the quality of these two should be a great priority.
But most importantly, do what feels right for you both, not what people should expect. It's all about the overall experience that they will have, and the love and gratitude that you both will reflect on that special day towards them.

Down the aisle song

Down the aisle song

You know you can upgrade your "Walking down the aisle song", right?

More and more Brides are skipping the traditional, "Here comes the Bride" song, and choosing a song that they truly enjoy and love. Choosing this particular song for you to walk down the aisle, can be tricky. You want to be original, you want to keep the moment beautiful and romantic, but most important, you want it to be meaningful. This song in particular could be one that you both pick because it means something for you both, or, it could be a surprise song with beautiful lyrics that you are dedicating to him as you walk down the aisle.

At a destination wedding I had here in my island, Puerto Rico, one Bride danced down the beach aisle to Maroon 5's "Moves like Jagger". To this day, that is by far one of the most memorable, fun and super cool Bride's entrance I have ever experienced. No one expected it, so you can imagine everyone reaction... yeap, they started jumping, dancing and singing as she walked. What a cheerful moment that was!

If you dream on having live musicians, let them know in advanced which song you want them to play for you. They can, of course, rehearse in advanced any song of your choice, from a classical to one on the top 20 charts. Just make sure they know at least two weeks prior so they can guarantee they will play the song for you.

If you want out of the traditional songs, go ahead, show some unique personality in your ceremony with an unexpected soundtrack. Believe me when I say, I have even seen a Bride walk down the aisle to Guns n' Roses' "Sweet Child O Mine" played by Violinists... it was AMAZINGGG!!!

Hire a Professional Wedding Planner

Hire a Professional Wedding Planner

Ask yourself these questions before you decide that you will coordinate your own Destination Wedding and not hire a Professional Experienced Wedding Planner.

“Have you ever planned more than one wedding before?”

“Do you have the time to plan a wedding?”

"Do you know how many hours it requires to plan a wedding?"

“Do you have any contacts abroad?”

“Do you have any experience checking: contracts, vetting suppliers, visiting venues, verifying their insurances and credentials and what assurance do you have of their professionalism at your wedding?”

*These are only just a few questions to answer before you put on your Wedding Planner's cape.

Happy Newlyweds

Happy Newlyweds

You'll both have little time to be alone with your spouse on your big day. Try to make a moment after the ceremony for some quality time.
Start calling him/her "husband/wife" for the first time, admire your new wedding bands, and assure some TLC. Arrange with your Wedding Planner to have some hors d'oeuvres and drinks while your guests are at the cocktail hour, so you both can enjoy it as well.

Bridal Party

How often do you get to spend an entire day with your best friends all together?
For the day of your Wedding, while getting ready, arrange to have things to eat and drink, play some music, but to make things more fun, buy to each one of them matching ropes. This will make great photos for you all to cherish.
